Requirements

Valid New York State Security Guard License.
Minimum of 6 months of security experience required.
Current First Aid/CPR Certification required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Must be reliable, professional, and willing to commute to Poughkeepsie, NY.

Campus security experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus grounds and buildings.
Monitor campus activity and identify potential security or safety concerns.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
Control access to facilities and verify credentials as needed.
Complete detailed incident, activity, and daily reports.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Assist with emergency response procedures and campus events as required.
