About The Position

The Campus Security Monitor supports campus security at Spring Valley High School. This is a 9-month assignment with 7 hours listed. Selected candidates must complete CCSD Campus Security Monitor training before their start date. Training includes online modules, a physical agility test, and a full-day defensive tactics training. Successful trainees must maintain their Campus Security Monitor certificate for the duration of the assignment. CPR/AED certification must also be maintained for the duration of the assignment, and certification training must be in person with a hands-on component; online courses are not accepted. This posting is limited to employees exercising a right to return. To request the right to return, submit the specified form before the advertisement closes on October 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. A separate form is required for each position. After the advertisement closes, HR will review those who expressed their right to the position and send notifications.

Requirements

High school graduation or an equivalent qualification, such as a GED or foreign equivalency.
Experience working with children and youth.
A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
A current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization; certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment, and training must be in person with a hands-on component.
A current Clark County School District Campus Security Monitor certificate, maintained for the duration of the assignment.
Selected candidates must complete CCSD Campus Security Monitor training before starting, including online modules, a physical agility test, and full-day defensive tactics training.
Applicants must provide the required supporting documents at application, including proof of education, identification, and CPR/AED certification; applicants who already hold a CCSD Campus Security Monitor certificate must provide it.
External applicants must complete the full three-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the application’s Experience and Credential section.
