About The Position

This position is responsible for monitoring campus activities to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. The Campus Security Monitor will observe and report any suspicious activities, enforce campus rules and regulations, and respond to emergencies as needed. This role requires vigilance, good judgment, and effective communication skills to maintain a secure and orderly school environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to observe and remember details.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to operate a two-way radio.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement.
• Knowledge of school safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor campus grounds, buildings, and parking lots to ensure safety and security.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential security threats.
• Enforce campus rules, regulations, and policies.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the campus.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Assist with visitor management and access control.
• Collaborate with school staff and local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain logs and records of security-related incidents.
