About The Position

Under the direction of the Principal, the Campus Security Monitor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors on school grounds. This role involves monitoring campus activity, enforcing school rules and policies, responding to incidents, and collaborating with school administration and law enforcement when necessary. The position is for a 9-month work year with 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of security procedures and safety practices.
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
Good observational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the public.
Must be able to complete a three (3) year work history in the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
Must attach required documents at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a school environment.
First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Monitor campus grounds, buildings, and parking lots to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or individuals to school administration.
Enforce school rules, policies, and safety regulations.
Respond to disturbances, altercations, or emergencies and take appropriate action.
Assist in maintaining order during school events and activities.
Conduct security checks of campus facilities.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to address security concerns.
Liaise with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Maintain logs and records of security incidents and activities.
