About The Position
Corning is a global innovator in materials science, seeking a Campus Planner for its Optical Communications segment. This role is crucial for the planning, implementation, and optimization of activities supporting the delivery of fiber optic cable to business partners. The Optical Communications segment provides comprehensive optical solutions across the communications industry, serving both carrier and enterprise networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain experience.
- Computer Literate in MS Office.
Nice To Haves
- Project Management.
- Understand aspects of inventory management.
- SAP/ERP knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Support production planning/master scheduling activities, including order management, resource planning, delivery promising, and production forecasting and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan.
- Coordinate plans and execution with Product Line Management (PLM), Planners, Operations Engineering, and Plant Management.
- Lead new system implementation projects and initiatives within Planning and Procurement.
- Work closely with production coordinators and team leaders to establish short-term and long-term expectations and execution of the production plan.
