About The Position

This position, in partnership with Grace CMA Church, serves as the Young Adults Community Coordinator, ministering to students at Baldwin Wallace University. The mission is to transform college students to transform the world by sharing the Gospel, developing passionate disciples, serving with the church, and giving students a vision for serving Jesus Christ in all areas of life. The vision is to see a generation of college students transformed by the power of Jesus Christ and His Gospel, in partnership with the local church, reaching the world for the glory of God. The role's purpose is to catalyze Kingdom transformation at Baldwin Wallace University by sharing the Gospel, inviting students into the life of the local church, and mobilizing the Christian community and churches to engage ministry on campus. It aims to develop deep collaboration between church/community members and students that promotes strong biblical discipleship, lifelong commitment to the Church, and the flourishing of Christ’s kingdom.

Requirements

  • Alliance School of Ministry Certificate (or enrollment toward) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two Year Residency and 2-3 years of hands on ministry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and routinely revise a ministry plan according to the CCO’s Annual Ministry Plan and Campus Playbook.
  • Ensure a consistent and visible presence of the CCO and Grace CMA Church on campus and in meeting with students through regular participation in Baldwin Wallace’s activities.
  • Collect and maintain student contact information, following up with & inviting students into ministry opportunities.
  • Plan and facilitate gatherings of students on campus throughout the week that include prayer, teaching, evangelism, leadership development, and applying Scripture to life in college and beyond.
  • Invite students regularly to church gatherings, CCO’s Jubilee conference and other transformative opportunities.
  • Establish a healthy relationship with the University of Baldwin Wallace that honors their guidelines for outside organizations and promotes sustainable campus access for the CCO and Grace CMA.
  • Regularly lead, facilitate or mobilize bible study gatherings, sports with students, one-to-one mentoring and discipleship opportunities for students.
  • Organize+Coordinate getting BW students involved in weekly young adults ministry gatherings at Grace CMA or another healthy local ministry that furthers their spiritual growth.
  • Build disciple-making-disciples at Baldwin Wallace who don’t just try to get people to come to the church, but equip students to take the Gospel with them into their classrooms and dorm halls.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate the vision and progress of college ministry within the church.
  • Connect students into discipleship opportunities and relationships within the church body.
  • Invite and equip congregants (a College Ministry Team) to provide hospitality, mentorship, and discipleship of college students with the aim of sending them out as leaders in their spheres of influence.
  • Support the overarching goals and efforts of the entire church by being an active part of the staff team and maintaining a servant-leadership mentality in all aspects of ministry.
  • Continue to develop a healthy worship ministry culture at Grace Young Adults through organizing teams, setlists and developing our team not just musically, but spiritually.
  • Assist Young Adults Pastor in developing Small Groups for 18-26 year old and the training, development and follow-up with these Small Group Leaders.
  • Help plan and execute large scale events that Grace Young Adults takes on such as: Retreats, Missions Trips, Conference and Re-United.
  • Meet with and be discipled regularly by Grace CMA Young Adults Pastors and other staff members who can build you into a well rounded disciple.
  • Attend weekly Young Adult Staff Meetings and monthly Young Adult Staff Vision Planning Meetings.
  • Develop and mobilize student leaders to co-labor in the on-campus fellowship, evangelism, and Bible studies equipping students to reach peers on campus.
  • Disciple and mobilize leaders among students at Baldwin Wallace and Grace CMA Church to live out their faith in service and evangelism.
  • Opportunity to develop and oversee CCO interns equipping students as ministry leaders.
  • Steward a positive relationship with Baldwin Wallace University that promotes long-lasting ministry in partnership with CCO.
  • Attend regular Grace CMA Church staff meetings.
  • Administrative duties that will apply to the weekly rhythms of Grace Young Adults services and our large scale events.
  • Participate in ongoing professional/spiritual development as advised by CCO and Grace CMA leaders. Examples: Spiritual Freedom/Deliverance, Evangelism, Financial Peace University, etc.
  • Participate in all required CCO Training.
  • Report ministry outcomes through CCO Mid-Year/Year-End Reflections and Annual Campus Stats documents.
  • Pray regularly and frequently for the ministry of the CCO.
  • Exceed 100% of support raising ministry goals.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
