About The Position

The Campus Ministry Coordinator works under the direction of the Principal. The primary responsibility is to direct retreat programs and works with the administration and faculty to prepare all liturgies and prayer services, as well as providing pastoral care. The Campus Ministry Coordinator will work with faculty to provide religious education and faith formation to students. The Campus Ministry Coordinator is a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church, nourishes his/her faith through ongoing spiritual formation and prayer, and publicly adheres to the Church teachings.

Requirements

  • Must be a practicing Catholic and active in a parish
  • Possess the ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
  • Must work well with people of all walks of life
  • Possess the ability to lead and train liturgical ministers
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Liturgical Ministry.

  • Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
  • Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening

Responsibilities

  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
  • Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Supports and adheres to the policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of San Antonio, including the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
  • Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and takes precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service of the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Oversee the planning of school liturgies
  • Oversee planning of prayer services
  • Communicate with clergy and staff regarding services in the community
  • Develops, administers, evaluates and directs all retreat programs for staffs, parents and students
  • Coordinates with venues and services for religious activities
  • Communicates with parents on upcoming religious events
  • Provides pastoral support as requested by students, faculty and staff in cooperation with Principal and Pastor
  • Collaborates with guidance and other departments regarding specific pastoral needs and concerns of students
  • Assists with planning of activities for Catholic Schools Week in cooperation with the Principal and Pastor
  • Collaborates with the Archdiocese and Department of Catholic School to provide faith formation activities on campus and in partner with school and parishes
  • Works in partnership with faculty to teach students religious education
  • Prepares students and families for religious sacraments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
