The Campus Minister ensures the various aspects of ministering to the Johns Hopkins University campus are carried out. The people served primarily include Hopkins students (especially the Catholics), the parishioners of SS. Philip and James, and to some extent the staff, faculty as well as alumni and parents from the University. The campus minister serves in the context of Saints Philip and James Church, which is a University Parish, through the Catholic Community at Hopkins (CCH), our campus ministry. The Campus Minister will work closely with the Dominican friars and the staff at SS. Philip and James, especially the Chaplain, the FOCUS missionaries, and the Director of Development and Stewardship. The Campus Minister will work alongside and report directly to the Chaplain and ultimately the Pastor for implementing the evangelical mission of the CCH. The Campus Minister will collaborate with the Chaplain on the formation of our Catholic students and the evangelization of the campus to the saving Name of Jesus Christ. He or she will also enter into the particularly Dominican character of our University Parish.
