About The Position

The Campus Minister's goal is to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to disciple the faith family of The Church of Eleven22®. This role partners with the Campus Pastor to shepherd the flock and collaborates closely with all campus staff and central ministry leaders. The position involves modeling spiritual intensity, leading worship gatherings, ministering to congregants through prayer and anointing, preparing worship spaces, and conducting general ministerial responsibilities. A key aspect of the role is leading in the disciple-making journey of congregants, identifying spiritual gifts, and equipping individuals with necessary skills. This includes teaching baptism and Growth Track classes, facilitating discover groups, and meeting weekly with serve staff for prayer, discipleship, and empowerment. The Campus Minister also leads serve staff huddles, collaborates with Central Ministries, and builds/leads serve staff teams for various ministry objectives such as Welcome, Disciple Groups, Connect, Nehemiah, and Campus Operations. Additionally, the role involves leading in the stewardship of campus resources, overseeing the staff and campus calendar, managing the campus budget, facilities, and office administration, and assisting the Campus Pastor with calendaring and communication with key campus leadership.

Requirements

  • Three-five years of ministry leadership experience, including experience managing teams, volunteers and/or ministry areas
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to step into heavy or difficult situations with a shepherding heart
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong proactive communication skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize new computer software
  • Demonstrated ability to build organizational relationships/partnerships (internal and external)

  • Demonstrated ability to shepherd and equip staff, serve staff and congregants
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Attendance at all worship gathering times (typically Thursday and Sunday) is mandatory
  • Attendance at "All-Skates" events throughout the year is mandatory for all staff

  • Formal ministerial credential is not required, but pastors are subject to the ministerial exception.

Responsibilities

  • Model spiritual intensity and lead in the execution of weekend worship gatherings
  • Lead in stage communication as requested
  • Minister to congregants through prayer and anointing
  • Prepare worship spaces for worship services
  • Lead in front row worship culture by sitting in the front row and lead in the modeling of God-honoring worship
  • Conduct general ministerial responsibilities alongside the Campus Pastor and ministerial staff to shepherd and care for the local congregation
  • Aid in the officiating and execution of weddings and celebrations of life
  • Devote time weekly to hospital visitations, ministerial counseling and ministering to those in need
  • Provide the sacraments of baptism and communion
  • Lead in the disciple-making journey of the congregants of the church by helping individuals identify their spiritual gifts and equipping the saints with the skills necessary to accomplish the ministry at hand
  • Teach baptism and Growth Track classes and facilitate discover groups
  • Meet weekly with serve staff—pray with, disciple and empower them for ministry
  • Lead serve staff huddles at each service to educate, inform and inspire the serve staff
  • Collaborate with Central Ministries to deliver ministry at the local level through the equipping of congregants
  • Build, lead and shepherd serve staff teams to accomplish the ministry objectives of: Welcome, Disciple groups, Connect, Nehemiah, Campus Operations (IT, Facilities, weekend operations, events)
  • Lead in the stewardship of campus resources
  • Oversight of staff and campus calendar
  • Manage campus budget, facilities and office administration
  • Ensure Campus Pastor has assistance in calendaring and communication with key campus leadership (Deacons, vision ambassadors, covenant members, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned
