About The Position

The Campus Event Coordinator supports the mission of Athey Creek by planning, coordinating, and executing both large-scale and smaller ministry events. This role ensures that all events reflect ACC’s values, run smoothly, and create a welcoming and organized environment for guests, volunteers, and staff. The Campus Event Coordinator works closely with ministry leads, maintenance, communications, and volunteers to ensure all event details—from planning to cleanup—are handled with excellence and care.

Requirements

  • Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
  • Possess strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to manage volunteers and coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure
  • Show proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and event management tools
  • Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Be self-directed, dependable, and able to follow through on complex projects

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience in event coordination, project management, or ministry support preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
  • Plan and coordinate events from concept to completion, ensuring all logistical details are covered (setup, supplies, volunteers, signage, and teardown)
  • Support the Director of Events in implementing event systems, timelines, and checklists
  • Work closely with ministry leaders to understand event goals and translate them into actionable plans
  • Oversee event registration, communication, and volunteer coordination as needed
  • Maintain and organize event equipment, supplies, and storage spaces
  • Prepare and manage event budgets, purchase orders, and expense tracking in coordination with leadership
  • Provide hands-on and in-person support during events, ensuring smooth execution and guest experience
  • Communicate and coordinate event details across departments, including the Maintenance Team, Front Office, Communications Team, and Production Team, to ensure efficient planning and excellent event execution
  • Continually looks for ways to improve and streamline operational processes
  • Ability to travel regularly between multiple campus locations to support events, meetings, and ministry activities
  • All other duties as assigned
