About The Position

The Campus Clinician will play a vital role in providing mental health support and counseling services to students participating in High Jump's summer program. The ideal candidate will be a certified School Psychologist, School Counselor, or Social Worker with a strong background in clinical psychology or counseling and experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings. This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer program.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate opportunities to collaborate and problem-solve with High Jump Staff regarding student concerns.
  • Maintain organized documentation and records of student check-ins.
  • Prioritize high-risk situations (e.g., crisis), and communicate with appropriate individuals in a timely manner (e.g., Case Manager, Parent).
  • Provide case-by-case services ranging from individual counseling, identification and assessment, interventions, crisis intervention, and support for navigating referrals for community services.
  • Organize educational opportunities (e.g., groups, lessons, discussions) surrounding topics that will develop competencies to serve the student in all contexts.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students' mental health and well-being.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff on best practices for promoting positive mental health in the classroom.
