About The Position

The Campus Care Associate (Custodian) performs routine manual cleaning of the interior and exterior of the assigned location, Barc Housing, an Intermediate Care Facility in Davie, Florida. Work includes recurring custodial tasks performed according to established practices and cleaning schedules. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Wednesday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Mondays and Tuesdays off. The stated pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience.
• Ability to take direction from supervisors.
• Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly those related to using and applying cleaning chemicals and products.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a physical examination and drug test.
• Ability to work under little supervision.
• Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and sweep and mop floors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, residents’ bedrooms, offices, and specified indoor and outdoor spaces using established practices and procedures.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers; and refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, and similar activities.
• Follow instructions for using chemicals and supplies.
• Respond to emergencies as necessary, including cleaning up chemicals or bodily fluids.
• Perform other duties requested by the supervisor.
