About The Position

Here at Park Place of Elmhurst, we offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare. Our residents also have access to assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support right on campus. We are seeking hardworking professional Campus Care Aide's. Requirements

• Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
• Must have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality.
• Previous experience in long-term care.
• Must be mature and career minded.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with established standards, and administrative policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of care.
• Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies.
• Communicate and interpret the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.
• Perform wellness checks.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Organize activities.
• Escort residents to meals and special events.
• Apply and remove Ted Hose.
• Make beds and change linens.
• Empty trash.
• Provide grooming and bathing assistance.
• Assist with walking.
• Deliver meals.
• Provide laundry services.
• Provide pet services (dog walking, feeding, watering and cat feeding, watering, and changing litter).
• Assist in the admissions process and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
• Wear a gait belt to assist residents who are not fully ambulatory.
• Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
