About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Campus Admission Specialist I to recruit and enroll qualified prospective students for campus undergraduate day programs. This role involves assisting students through the enrollment process, acting as a liaison to other campus departments, and serving as the student's advocate. The Admission Specialist I must embody SNHU's brand values and provide outstanding customer service, adhering to established guidelines to maximize opportunities from inquiry through enrollment. Key responsibilities include territory management, periodic regional recruitment travel, conducting personalized outreach to prospective students and families, performing informational sessions and interviews, and supporting on-campus event-related functions. Collaboration with the Admission team is essential to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • One year experience working in a college admission setting
  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to leverage recruitment initiatives at regional high schools.
  • Travel to local high schools and across New England, as needed; attend regular high school visits, college fairs, and classroom presentations.
  • Represent the university at events on-campus throughout the academic year.
  • Perform supportive duties relevant to on-campus events e.g., information sessions, tours, activities, organization, and preparation, etc.
  • Initiate dialog with prospective students.
  • Evaluate the prospective student's needs, interests and qualifications while providing clear information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program/course offering, delivery mode, and school fit.
  • Present information regarding the school, program offerings, structure, accreditation, cost, and benefits specific to the prospective student in an accurate and ethical manner.
  • Assist prospective students through the admission process in accordance with SNHU policies and procedures, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and accrediting standards.
  • Promote university offerings to prospective students in accordance with their needs.
  • Facilitate and process the enrollment, and follow up through Day 15 of successful term start.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
