About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by helping customers make informed buying decisions, demonstrating products, and making recommendations based on customer needs. The Sales Outfitter maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, stays informed about advertised sales, and maintains pricing and signage. The position also involves replenishing and restocking merchandise, assisting with seasonal floor moves, keeping the work area clean and well stocked, and following company policies and procedures. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for improving work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift and meet the listed physical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Demonstrate products and help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Replenish and restock merchandise in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
