About The Position

State legislatures are ground zero in the fight for democracy. Since 2017, Forward Majority has been a leading organization at the frontline of the fight to accelerate Democratic power in state legislatures. To date, we’ve mobilized over $120 million to advance our mission. As we continue to build and scale our work in the years ahead, interns are an essential addition to our team. Interns must be current college students.

Requirements

• Current college student
• Strong writing skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work remotely with access to the internet and a laptop
• Knowledge of Google apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
• Desire to learn more about campaigns, voter registration, and state legislative elections

Responsibilities

• Researching candidates and policies
• Assisting with collecting information about races across the country
• Data collection
• Summarizing legislative and press clips
• Assisting with presentations
• Summarizing news and current events related to state legislatures
• Helping with research for ads
