About The Position

A high-end lodge in the Kruger is seeking a dynamic CAMP MANAGER who thrives in remote luxury environments. This intimate camp has 6 beautifully decorated suites and has been named one of South Africa's most exclusive safari destinations. As a strategic leader and hands-on host, you’ll oversee every detail of camp life, from guest activities and staff development to logistics, compliance, and community engagement.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in camp or lodge management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management skills.
• Must demonstrate maturity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and off-road driving proficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with South African tourism regulations and Acts.
• Fluency in English.
• Warm, professional, and guest-centric demeanor.
• Adaptable, resilient, and composed under pressure.
• Capable of working independently, handling pressure, and taking full responsibility for tasks.

Nice To Haves

• First aid training and basic mechanical/electrical knowledge are beneficial.
• Knowledge of Kruger Park geography preferred.
• Shangaan or related African language advantageous.
• Knowledge of foreign languages would be advantageous.
• Passionate about flora, fauna, and cultural engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the property.
• Ensure a high standard of guest service and satisfaction.
• Lead, support, and develop team members across departments.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain health, safety, and security standards throughout the property.
• Prepare reports and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service standards.
