Camp Maintenance (Property) Worker

In this role, you’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities—from basic repairs to landscaping and facility upkeep—and contribute directly to the camper experience. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments and vendors, support inventory needs, and help ensure our camp property stays in top condition all season long. Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance and/or groundskeeping (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, HVAC, etc.)
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong time management and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional weekends if needed
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically active tasks (e.g., walking, climbing, reaching, bending)
- Basic reading/writing skills to follow instructions and complete records
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Excel is a plus
- Valid driver’s license (required for camp vehicle use)
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and light repair work across camp facilities (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, pools, appliances, furniture, and painting)
- Maintain camp grounds, including mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, weeding, and other landscaping tasks
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep camp safe and running efficiently
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean and safe working condition
- Accurately complete records of maintenance work, including timesheets and work logs
- Assist with tracking and ordering maintenance and groundskeeping supplies
- Support seasonal projects like facility prep, trail maintenance, and storm cleanup
- Follow all safety protocols and operate tools/equipment with proper precautions
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure quick response to issues
- Jump in to support special projects and other duties as needed to keep camp at its best
