About The Position

Camp Lincoln - Camp Lake Hubert is seeking a hands-on, year-round maintenance and grounds worker who enjoys fixing things, working outdoors, and seeing the results of their efforts daily. This role is crucial for ensuring the facilities are safe, beautiful, and welcoming for campers and staff, contributing to an unforgettable summer camp experience. The position involves a variety of tasks, from carpentry and plumbing to landscaping and painting, with a focus on preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and supporting special projects. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who can adapt to the dynamic nature of camp life and contribute to creating a magical camp environment.

Requirements

Experience with general maintenance and/or grounds work (carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
Proficiency in safely using hand and power tools.
Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical stamina, including the ability to lift 50+ pounds, walk, bend, and climb.
A positive, team-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel is a plus).
Valid driver's license (required for camp vehicle use).

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, and painting.
Conduct preventative maintenance and timely repairs to keep camp facilities operational.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Support special projects such as facility preparation, trail maintenance, and post-storm cleanup.
Collaborate with camp staff, vendors, and leadership to resolve issues efficiently.
Adapt to changing needs and assist wherever necessary, as camp environments often present unique daily challenges.
