About The Position
Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a Camp Health Lodge Assistant. This is a seasonal position for Summer 2026, with a pay rate of $110/day. The minimum age to apply is 18. The shift is Monday to Friday, with Day Camp Hours from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM. This role is ideal for someone with a medical background who enjoys working with children, offering a rewarding summer job filled with adventure. The Camp Health Lodge Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring campers are happy, healthy, and prepared for camp activities at the Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- At least two years of college in a medical-related field
- Two years in a medical facility
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to get them)
- Camp Staff Training certification (or willingness to get them)
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Camp Nurse with medications, sick calls, and first aid
- Keeping the Health Lodge clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Ensuring all campers have up-to-date health forms before each session
- Coordinating dietary needs with the Dining Lodge
- Documenting camper visits and making sure “Ouch Reports” go home
- Being a friendly, reassuring presence for campers who need a little extra care
