About The Position

The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the camp, from designing and implementing practice plans to developing athletes’ skills in a fun and engaging environment. The University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction. UNH is located in Durham on a 188-acre campus, 60 miles north of Boston and 8 miles from the Atlantic coast and is convenient to New Hampshire’s lakes and mountains. There is a student enrollment of 13,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs. Responsibilities

  • Lead and instruct players in the fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, setting, serving, attacking, blocking, and defense.
  • Provide individual and group coaching to ensure player development and improvement.
  • Create and implement structured, age-appropriate practice plans focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
  • Incorporate a variety of drills that emphasize technical skills, physical conditioning, and volleyball IQ.
  • Assess each camper’s individual progress throughout the camp.
  • Provide constructive feedback to campers and parents regarding strengths, areas for improvement, and future development.
  • Adapt coaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of each camper.
