Camp Head Coach (Volleyball)
About The Position
The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the camp, from designing and implementing practice plans to developing athletes’ skills in a fun and engaging environment. The University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction. UNH is located in Durham on a 188-acre campus, 60 miles north of Boston and 8 miles from the Atlantic coast and is convenient to New Hampshire’s lakes and mountains. There is a student enrollment of 13,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs. Requirements
- Experience coaching at elite levels for volleyball
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct players in the fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, setting, serving, attacking, blocking, and defense.
- Provide individual and group coaching to ensure player development and improvement.
- Create and implement structured, age-appropriate practice plans focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
- Incorporate a variety of drills that emphasize technical skills, physical conditioning, and volleyball IQ.
- Assess each camper’s individual progress throughout the camp.
- Provide constructive feedback to campers and parents regarding strengths, areas for improvement, and future development.
- Adapt coaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of each camper.
