About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Camp and Family Programmer for its Education Department. This role is responsible for facilitating programming, with a focus on Summer Camps, preschool programs, and parent/child programs. The individual will also support educational programming in other areas of the department. This position reports to the Education Program Manager and is non-exempt.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of completed college coursework.
  • Experience leading classrooms or teaching in an informal education setting preferred.
  • Background and experience in animal sciences, education, environmental or natural sciences a plus.
  • Must be 21+ years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug-free workplace screening, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves

  • Background and experience in animal sciences, education, environmental or natural sciences.
