Curtis is seeking enthusiastic summer day-camp counselors to join a supportive, inclusive, and educational learning community as a member of the Camp Curtis team. Curtis School is a DK-6 co-ed elementary school whose mission is to “develop, in every child, a sound mind in a sound body, governed by a compassionate heart.” We place an equal emphasis on physical, social-emotional, and character education and instill a growth mindset modeled by faculty and staff who are the best in their craft. Curtis School is fully committed to a diverse faculty and student body. The candidate should possess an abundance of respect and sensitivity around racial, ethnic, socio-economic, and all differences. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive, fun, and inclusive environment for campers. A collegial personality and responsiveness to direction are essential traits, as is a love of working with early childhood-aged children. Camp Counselors will work closely with children aged 4-12 to lead activities, provide mentorship, and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the summer. Your creativity, patience, and enthusiasm are required to create the best possible camp environment and a positive and enjoyable experience for each camper.
