Camp Counselor
About The Position
A Summer Kids' Camp Counselor main responsibility is to ensure that campers are safe at all times - making sure they don't get lost or hurt. Other job responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Supervise young campers at all times as you lead them through recreational and educational activities (i.e. swimming or crafting). Maintain a patient, pleasant and welcoming attitude at all times. Assist lead counselors in creating weekly or daily schedules of activities. Set up and maintain equipment. Perform simple first aid or tend to injuries, as necessary, and keeping accurate incident logs when situations arise. Camp Counselor is a seasonal position (approx. June 15 through August 25). Monday through Friday daytime schedule, plus Wednesday nights.
