About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas and sleeping quarters in a camp setting. The role involves detailed cleaning tasks, laundry room organization, waste management, inventory tracking, and equipment maintenance. Driving is a required component of this position.

Requirements

Commercial housekeeping experience in a hotel or remote camp setting.
First Aid and WHMIS training certified.
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
Capable of communicating in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) with clients, co-workers, and management.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others.
Ability to operate washers, dryers, vacuum machines, floor polishers, and other cleaning equipment.
Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.
Pass a Criminal Record Check.
Must have a valid driver's license and provide a clean driving record (Learner Permits will not be considered).

Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintaining common areas and sleeping quarters.
Vacuuming and dusting furniture, blinds, and fixtures.
Washing, scrubbing, and sanitizing various surfaces and fixtures in rooms.
Keeping the laundry room clean and organized.
Emptying garbage and recycling daily and disinfecting containers.
Keeping an accurate record of all bedding allotted in camp and reporting shortages.
Storing all linen in a secure place.
Assisting with inventory of cleaning supplies.
Ensuring good order and maintenance of all equipment by reporting deficiencies.
Driving as required for the position.
