About The Position

As a Camera Truck Operator Trainee, you will use remote controlled CCTV equipment to inspect underground sewer infrastructure, including storm lines, sanitary lines and lateral lines. You will code inspections and record defects in CT Spec, and submit daily reports of completed inspections. You will also read and interpret infrastructure maps to locate, track, and complete project requirements. Additionally, you will complete paperwork related to confined spaces, hazard analysis, vehicle inspections, and all other required paperwork as part of daily operations. Setting up traffic control plans and signage efficiently and safely in accordance with Book 7 is also a key responsibility. Finally, you will service equipment on site and carry out preventative maintenance procedures to ensure that the camera crawler and related equipment are in proper working order.

Requirements

  • Mechanical and technical inclination
  • Valid G driver's license
  • Ability to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift 75 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, work may include out of town work and night shifts
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and the general public
  • Able to plan and schedule assigned work to meet project timelines
