About The Position

Operates a set of two Tower Cameras, one on the dirt course and one on the turf course. Assists the Director in monitoring the race track and communicating with the crew. Maintains steady camera shots crucial for determining fouls. Works simulcast control shifts and assists the TV Manager in the Television Department. Requires ladder climbing ability and comfort with heights.

Requirements

• Good Working Knowledge of all TV equipment
• Must have ability to quickly produce a broadcast quality camera shot of sports subject
• Must be computer literate
• Must have knowledge of all TV Control Equipment
• Copy Machine operations

Nice To Haves

• College Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Broadcasting or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Understanding of horse racing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operates a set (2) of Tower Cameras, one each on the dirt course and turf course
• Assists Director in 'seeing' what's going on out on the race track, communicating to crew
• Maintain solid and steady shot at all times as these angles are key in determining fouls
• Work simulcast control shifts
• Assists the TV Manager in all facets of the Television Dept. Operation
• Must have ladder climbing ability
• Can Not be afraid of heights
