About The Position
Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL, is seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and hardworking Camera Operator to join its creative team.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable, in a video production-oriented role as a videographer
- Hands-on experience with Sony PTZ, ENG-style cameras, and Steadicam preferred
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
- Proactive, reliable, and technically proficient
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Weigel’s Director, Production and Creative Team to produce high quality videography while recording show related elements
- Assist and fill in for various roles on the Production Team during tapings including handheld camera, audio, floor direction and teleprompter
- Provide support for field shoots and daily production needs
- Communicate effectively across departments
- Perform additional duties, as assigned
