About The Position

This role is responsible for generating CAM programs for a manufacturing environment. The individual will handle incoming CAM Department inquiries, review project packets for completeness, and prepare various types of drawings including Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal. Additionally, they will prepare full-size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use, help develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards, and develop/recommend solutions to improve programming and run times. A key function includes answering questions from internal and external customers as required and effectively communicating with Production Staff, Engineers, Sales Staff, Architects, and Installing Contractors.

Requirements

Need to be familiar with Architectural and Engineering Drawings
Experience with any 3D Modeling Software is required
Must have strong Attention to Detail skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Product Design Suite is a plus
Experience with any RADAN, CAM software used for sheet metal punching is a plus
Experience with AutoDesk VAULT is a plus
Experience with Turret Press Operations is a plus

Responsibilities

Generate CAM programs for manufacturing environment
Answer questions from internal and external customers as required
Program sheet metal parts to be run on Amada & Trump turret presses
Create CAD/CAM Programs for turret punch/press machines, using Inventor and/or Auto CAD DWG and DXF Files
Handle incoming CAM Department inquiries
Review project packets for completeness
Prepare Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal types of drawings
Prepare full size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use
Help develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards
Develop and recommend solutions to improve programming time run time
Answer questions from internal and external customers as required
Be able to effectively communicate with Production Staff, Engineers, Sales Staff, Architects, and Installing Contractors
