About The Position

The Design Department is seeking student workers to support our growing departments through a variety of tasks. This role involves office support for adjunct faculty, peer-to-peer tutoring for students in DDN and ADV courses, and oversight and support of student clubs. The position also includes designing and producing marketing and communications products such as social media content, posters, flyers, and photography. Additional responsibilities include inventory control of supplies and materials for all classes, direct preparation of supplies and materials for Sculpture classes, and classroom support including organizing, cleaning, and materials preparation. The role also involves meeting with and touring prospective students through the program and assisting in general departmental needs.

Requirements

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial standing with the University.
• Skills in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Skills in design, drawing, and typography.
• Skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Ability to manage themselves and their schedule.
• Ability to present a positive attitude while representing our department.
