About The Position

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is a comprehensive multidisciplinary company that offers Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, Massage, and Acupuncture services. This position is a per diem, temporary-to-hire role with required availability on Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves effectively communicating changes to front office administration procedures, routing escalated calls, completing call-related tasks, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, updating demographics, and informing patients of necessary documentation. The position also requires maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines, answering a high volume of calls, and assisting at the front desk when needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to diffuse client frustrations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate changes to administration procedures of the front office, including telephones, processing, scheduling, and verifications.
  • Route escalated calls to the appropriate department and personnel.
  • Complete tasks surrounding the nature of the call and providing the highest level of patient care and support.
  • Schedule appointments based on availability and continuity of care, verifies insurance information, updates demographics, and informs patients of necessary documentation for health center visits.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Answer a high volume of calls.
  • Able to assist at front desk when needed.
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned.
