About The Position

The Call Center Triage Nurse is responsible for managing patient triage calls, coordinating urgent appointments, supporting clinical communication, and providing nursing guidance within the call center environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to accurately assess patient needs, document information, route calls appropriately, and deliver exceptional customer service while collaborating with providers, staff, and community healthcare partners. The Call Center Triage Nurse provides front-line patient support by managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Performs clinical triage by assessing patient concerns, providing nursing guidance, coordinating urgent care needs, communicating with providers and community healthcare partners, and documenting patient interactions accurately. Serves as a clinical resource to call center staff while supporting efficient, timely, and patient-centered care delivery.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED certificate
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Sufficient prior work experience in progressively responsible positions during which the skills and abilities to perform all the essential functions have been amply demonstrated at a consistently competent level
  • Strong knowledge of community healthcare, nursing operations, clinical management, and regulatory compliance
