About The Position

Reaches out to alumni, parents, and friends of Drury to secure support for the university. Students secure donations to the school through positive relationship-building and great conversation. Strong candidates for this position will enjoy meeting new people and asking questions about our alumni’s Drury experiences. Student callers work with University Advancement staff to enhance the alumni experience while growing their professional skillset. Other opportunities to engage and network with our alumni at on-campus events will exist throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Ability to use professional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use basic office machines, basic computer programs, email/social media/website, and spreadsheet computer software.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload efficiently and in a timely manner in order to complete job responsibilities.
  • Must be a regular, full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
  • Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Makes computer-based calls to prospective donors including alumni, parents, and friends of Drury.
  • Updates demographic information, builds positive relationships with prospects, and raises funds for the University while working to reach team and individual fundraising goals.
  • Accurately records pledges and information updates.
  • General clerical duties and front desk support (e.g., answering phones and routing calls, maintaining files, stewardship, processing information of a confidential nature, helping the assistant director, and other duties assigned).
