About The Position

Responds to a high volume of telephone calls including scheduling the appropriate medical exams and tests and fulfilling report requests; and other duties as assigned. Answers and triage calls accordingly. Schedules patient appointments and remind patients of necessary items to bring including their referral, medications. Writes messages and assure charts are pulled and taken to the technicians. Handles inquiries about insurances accepted, office hours, services, locations, exam fees, doctor information, etc. Enters referral information into the computer system. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs.

Requirements

  • 1-year related office or customer service experience
  • Entry level computer skills (specific programs as deemed by department)
  • Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
  • Accurate data entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
