About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. Working in a high-volume Call Center. Ensuring all billing and payments are handled with excellent professionalism and customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AS400 and Content Manager
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and/or sends information out on Direct Pay (Automatic payment from credit cards or checking accounts.)
  • Prepares annual amounts paid, when requested by a member.
  • Works with members, vendors, and other departments by verbal communication, phone, e-mail, web, text, fax and/or mailings
  • Collects payments using various methods while maintaining customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Understands the billing process and how that relates to the payment application, and can effectively communicate that information to internal and external customers
  • Verifies entered customer and billing data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking and resolving payment problems and discrepancies
  • Basic understanding of the job/duties
  • Volunteers to cover extra shifts as needed
  • Shows up to work on time ready to work
  • Works to back-up other billing jobs and secondary duties where cross training is complete
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and Association goals
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Keeps accurate records of time worked and submits timesheets at appropriate times
  • Adheres to all Company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and an essential function of this position.
  • This position is classified as full-time, requiring a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • Works weekends and evenings, including more than 8 hours a day when the needs of the business demand
  • Performs various special projects and other duties as assigned
