About The Position

Micro-Tronics, Inc. is a precision aerospace manufacturing company committed to operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our Quality team. The Calibration Technician is responsible for recalling, verifying, calibrating, tracking, and maintaining instrumentation and measuring equipment to ensure compliance with established calibration standards and quality requirements. This role works independently within established procedures while within established procedures associated with the specific job function.

Requirements

3 years calibration systems experience (ISO 10012/ANSI Z540)
3 years proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
3 years reading blueprints and aerospace specifications
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend documents
High School Diploma
2-year trade school or industry certification
Work independently and on a team
Exercise judgment and decision-making
Maintain attendance and punctuality
Communicate effectively
Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

Has responsibility and authorization to perform roles and duties related to the job function.
Sustain quality objectives awareness throughout MTI
Quality Department collaboration to achieve results.
Fulfill the purpose of the calibration of devices recall system
Navigate calibration software
Complete and retain records to meet quality system requirements
Select Vendors
Proper equipment handling (FOD / corrosion prevention)
Verify/calibrate devices for fitness of purpose
Create and/or modify device information within calibration software
Ensure customer-supplied equipment/devices are controlled and maintained.
Process job order traveler per procedures and policies
Assist with elementary inspections in the Quality Department
Report metrics and current affairs of Calibration activities to upper-level management
Assist auditors in retrieving quality records
Work with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Customer Service, Engineering, and Planning
Out-of-tolerance investigations
Lost tool reports
Control of nonconforming product or process
Gauge R&R studies
Training others
Continuous improvement activities
