About The Position

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. This role applies knowledge of technical concepts and practices, and an understanding of product or system fundamentals, from basic to complex towards the resolution of manufacturing and/or research and development tasks. The technician will perform set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems and/or products. They will troubleshoot and solve problems requiring interpretation of procedures and practices, analyze situations or data to identify issues and trends, and collect, compile, measure, organize and record data. This role also provides input to engineering, qualifications and validation studies and reports, and may keep a lab notebook. The technician will collect, compile, measure, summarize, record, and document specific data gathered during a calibration. They will plan, organize, and prioritize their own daily work routine to meet established schedules and assigned tasks or projects, and communicate as a team member with other functional groups as well as with internal customers. May contact outside vendors as part of job responsibilities. This role completes daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization of tasks, and solves problems of limited scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of well-defined procedures and practices. Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents and includes work with QSR and ISO Standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Applies limited knowledge of basic technical concepts and practices and a basic understanding of product or systems fundamentals.
• Utilizes basic knowledge of numerical and/or statistical data and computer software programs to resolve routine problems.
• Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
• Performs routine technical tasks working from detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Performs routine set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of certain area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.
• Assignments require limited judgment in troubleshooting proven processes.

• Associate’s degree (± 13 years) - Or some college credits, preferred.
