About The Position

National Calibration Inc. is seeking a Calibration Technician for its Salt Lake City office. This is a growing full-service ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratory with multiple offices throughout the Southwestern United States. The role offers paid training, career growth opportunities, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills, basic math aptitude, and the ability to work independently or with a team. This position is suitable for both experienced and entry-level technicians who are detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on work, and possess problem-solving skills. The Calibration Technician will be involved in basic calibration, quality assurance, customer service, and operational requirements, working in direct coordination with the Lead Technician.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate physical/dimensional and basic electronics test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and laboratory standards.
  • Operate under close supervision and achieve technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Review standards and specifications to develop calibration templates, procedures, and set guidelines for approval through QA and in accordance with international standards.
  • Provide customer service at a high level and maintain professionalism while relaying information to clients and management.
  • Develop skills for completing calibrations using developed procedures and practices to ensure and understand the operation and use of the equipment being serviced.
  • Learn and understand the Quality System and the ISO 17025 standard as it relates to calibration.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees in all departments.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and lab.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the calibration lab manager or lead.
