About The Position

At our Loves Park facility, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our team on 2nd Shift, M-F 1:30pm-10pm. This entry-level to mid-level position plays a key role in maintaining the precision and reliability of measurement equipment used in high-stakes aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on technical environment and wants to contribute to high-precision aerospace work. Training shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm

  • Equipment Maintenance: Capable of performing routine maintenance on calibration equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Technical Communication: Effective in conveying technical information and calibration results within the team.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous calibration or metrology experience
  • Familiar with ISO17025 & ANSI Z540
  • Calibration database experience (Managing & documentation)
  • Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints & GD&T

Responsibilities

  • Perform Equipment Calibration: Conduct routine calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment according to established standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain Calibration Records: Accurately document calibration data and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support Maintenance Activities: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of calibration tools and systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards: Follow all quality guidelines and protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of calibration processes.
  • Communicate Technical Information: Share calibration results and technical information effectively with team members to facilitate collaborative operations.
  • Executes calibration of instruments and equipment according to established standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Documents calibration procedures, results, and maintenance activities meticulously to comply with quality assurance standards.
  • Detects and addresses common calibration problems by applying analytical methods and following predefined protocols to maintain measurement integrity.
  • Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on calibration tools and machinery to sustain optimal functionality and performance.
  • Shares complex technical data and calibration outcomes effectively within the team to support collaborative objectives and enhance overall quality.
