About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform calibration activities in support of manufacturing and inspection functions. This role involves ensuring all measurement devices used in the production and inspection of COOK Endoscopy devices are calibrated. The technician will maintain and review the calibration system and documentation for compliance with FDA, cGMP, and ISO 13485 requirements. Additionally, the role includes repairing or replacing damaged equipment, providing metrology training to production and inspection employees, and performing other duties as required. A key responsibility is ensuring that calibrations and product testing are performed in a timely manner. The position requires effective and professional interaction with others across various levels of the organization, strict adherence to safety requirements, and maintaining regular and punctual attendance. The technician must uphold company quality and quantity standards, possess effective oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities. The role requires the capacity to work in both collaborative and independent settings with minimal supervision, remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations, and be able to read, write, and understand product documentation and written instructions. Access to confidential controlled documentation, processes, and equipment is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of programmable controllers.
  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of equipment and machines within all areas.
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Working knowledge of various hand tools.
  • Experience with computers, data entry and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have knowledge or aptitude in the following areas: Electricity/Electronics, Machinery repair, Reading, understanding and drawing prints and schematics, Record keeping.

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment requiring moving to various departments to perform calibrations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on all measurement devices used in the production and inspection of COOK Endoscopy devices.
