About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Calibration Technician A to join their team in Everett, WA. This role involves planning, setting up, and operating basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment. The technician will use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment according to approved procedures and specifications. Responsibilities include conducting routine tests, analyzing data, documenting results, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with customers to minimize downtime during calibration. The role also requires updating equipment status, completing paperwork, ensuring equipment readiness, prioritizing work, performing visual checks, identifying non-conforming items, and providing information to customers on metrology processes. Additionally, the technician may develop and review new calibration processes and procedures, and perform computations for measurement test results. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
  • Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications
  • Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
  • Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems
  • Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab
  • Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime
  • Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
  • Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
  • Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by team lead or manager
  • Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
  • Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
  • Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
  • Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures
  • Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
