Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, OR Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing and/or engineering experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and measurement uncertainty analysis.
  • Strong technical writing skills to develop and revise Gage Calibration Methods and Operations Instructions
  • Familiarity with ISO, ANSI quality and calibration standards.
  • Experience with asset management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a shop‑floor environment
  • Hardware/Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manufacturing team by developing and updating process specifications and procedures for equipment calibration throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Review existing procedures, compare them to actual implementations, revise procedures as required to meet industry standards.
  • Communicate issues and resolutions to Quality Manager
  • Advise manufacturing leadership on gauge calibration issues
  • Update manufacturing process documentation per change‑management practices
