About The Position

In this exciting role as a Calibration/Metrology Tech IV at Medtronic, Fort Worth, you will have responsibility for performing advanced incoming and in-process inspection of high-quality components and assemblies used in medical devices. This role will support the multiple pieces of semi-automated and automated equipment, including but not limited to, CMM, Micro-Vu, Vision Systems, and other precision measurement tools. The core responsibilities of this role are being able to do complex inspections, including first article inspections and supporting engineering team to improve inspection process. Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience operating programmable inspection equipment such as CMM, Micro-Vu, Keyence.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with high-accuracy dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
  • Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
