About The Position

The Calibration & Facility Technician III is responsible for a variety of tasks involving managing the preventative maintenance and calibration, and on-demand repair program for all manufacturing and laboratory equipment, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with Werfen’s procedures and expectations. This role provides oversight and support to the Manufacturing and Quality Control laboratory equipment. Other miscellaneous tasks are involved to help keep the facility up and running for optimal manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Associates’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Isensix Refrigerator and Freezer Remote monitoring system knowledge.
• House Vacuum and Compressed Air system knowledge.
• Laboratory exposure is a must.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support team objectives.
• Proficient in the use of instrumentation required to maintain the facility and production equipment.
• Able to work closely and communicate with other departments.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Shows commitment to quality and total manufacturing satisfaction by dedicating their skills to achieve zero error.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the site’s master calibration and preventative maintenance program of equipment, instruments, and facility to ensure their conformance to corporate and regulatory policy.
• Responsible to test, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment per established procedures.
• Schedule service providers for on-site and off-site calibration or PM needs.
• Understand and comply with any/all guidelines within the company Quality Manual, cGMP, GDP, FDA, ISO, Housekeeping, and Departmental Compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of the utility equipment and the Facility (this includes but is not limited to House Vacuum system, Air Compressor, Back-up Generators, and the general upkeep of the facility).
• Manage real-time temperature monitoring alarms and their recovery activities with the owning department.
• Responsible for confirmation of weekly and daily cleaning logs.
