Payson Market - Cake Decorator - Full Time
About The Position
Payson Market is seeking a full-time Cake Decorator to join their bakery team. This role requires maintaining and developing cake decorating skills, staying updated on new trends, and possessing knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes. The decorator will also be responsible for assisting with ingredient and supply orders, maintaining inventory, merchandising displays, and understanding product pricing, dating, and packaging. A key responsibility includes managing larger tier cake orders from order taking to final accounting, as well as maintaining an inventory of cake decorating supplies. The decorator will also assist in receiving and storing bakery products and may be asked to produce other bakery items as directed.

- Capable of filling, rotating, arranging, and merchandising displays and display cases.
- Possess knowledge of pricing, dating, and wrapping or bagging of all bakery products.
- Possess knowledge of bakery items, descriptions, and ingredients so as to better serve our guests and answer any questions that might arise.
- Responsible for the complete processing of larger tier cake orders, including taking orders, producing the cakes and ensuring the final accounting of accessories for which a deposit is to be refunded.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of all novelties and supplies necessary for cake decoration.
- Assist in the receiving and storing of bakery products.
