About The Position

A Machine Operator 1 operates a single machine in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires effective teamwork, following written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately operating bakery equipment, and maintaining GMP standards. Duties include mixing and depositing cream and mixing icing. Equipment may vary by facility. The position is in a manufacturing environment on the PM shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely and accurately operate bakery equipment and maintain GMP standards.
• Organizational skills and ability to perform calculations and keep records.
• Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including standing, walking, kneeling or squatting, bending, lifting, reaching, climbing, crawling, and pushing or pulling equipment and carts.
• Must not be afraid of heights and must be in good physical condition.
• Ability to hear, understand instructions, and see.

Responsibilities

• Operate a single machine safely and accurately.
• Mix and deposit cream.
• Mix icing.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Maintain GMP standards.
• Read and follow formulations; calculate batter time and length; record batter information and exceptions; compute exceptions; monitor the mixing stage of two machines; make batter adjustments; and add weights in ounces and pounds.
• Identify ingredients in and out of packing containers.
