About The Position

The Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and verifying all cash transactions across departments while ensuring strict compliance with company internal controls, policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations, including Title 31 and Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board requirements. This role requires directing, training, scheduling, and monitoring cage personnel while maintaining a professional and positive work environment. The supervisor must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, acting as a role model aligned with Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values. Duties include verifying large cash and chip transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, operating counting equipment and computer systems, and performing cashier functions when needed. The position requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and the ability to open and close operations as needed. In addition, the role demands strong knowledge of cash handling, mathematics, basic management, human resources, and budgeting, along with participation in ongoing leadership development programs. The Cage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring excellent guest service, resolving disputes professionally, and building positive relationships with guests and team members.

Requirements

  • At least two years of supervisory experience involving cash handling, preferably in a cage or cashier capacity.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, Paramount, and money-counting equipment.
  • Maintaining a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
  • Obtaining a gaming license.
