About The Position

The Cage Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising Cashiers/Player Services Representatives and Bankers/Player Services Representatives. This role ensures good customer relations are maintained by all personnel, and enforces policies, procedures, and internal controls. The position involves supervising various financial transactions within the casino cage, monitoring cash levels, and making recommendations for policy improvements. The Cage Supervisor also handles employee performance documentation, disciplinary actions, and scheduling. Additionally, this role involves managing chip inventory, ensuring compliance with AML regulations, processing credit applications, and overseeing promotional programs and player club enrollments. Training support for kiosk functions and promotions is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to ensure proper payouts are being paid out correctly.
  • Ability to compute tax rate for jackpot payouts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with employee and guest issues.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Must possess intermediate PC skills, spreadsheets, internet and e-mail.
  • Microsoft Office experience required and be able to learn new software as needed for operations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Must be able to discipline subordinates when necessary.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of supervisory/management experience required or equivalent casino experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to evaluate internal controls a must.
  • The employee will be required to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Candidate must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
  • Employee must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to use computers and handle vouchers, cash and chips.
  • Employee is required to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication.
  • This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise jackpot payouts and related tax forms, table fills and credits, slot counter check issuance, sports wagering transactions, posting and payments on all counter checks, deposits and withdrawals.
  • Monitor cash levels in all Cage locations.
  • Supervise large payouts by Cashiers/Player Services Reps.
  • Make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures to improve efficiencies.
  • Document attendance and variances and work in conjunction with the Cage & Credit Administrator to review employee files and prepare corrective action documentation.
  • Complete daily cash accountability logs, give performance feedback and employee disciplinary actions.
  • Be responsible for charting attendance, issuing corrective actions and approval of weekly schedules and vacations.
  • Prepare cashier transfers, ensure accurate paperwork is completed for all functions of the position including end of shift balancing of cashier windows and cage.
  • Receive chip inventory and be responsible for movement of gaming chips between storage locations.
  • Ensure compliance with AML.
  • Issue manual counter checks for table games and slots if the computer system is offline.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on equipment in the Cage.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all casino operations data.
  • Inform Cage Shift Manager of all incidents or disputes related to patrons, employees and inter-departmental issues.
  • Process credit applications, run credit reports, bank reports and gaming reports.
  • Prepare casino credit-related reports (cannot approve casino credit).
  • Supervise all point adjustments and resolve customer issues.
  • Oversee the proper implementation of bonuses for the bus program.
  • Provide Cage staff with marketing information.
  • Supervise or adjust points in the Oasis system for birthdays, voucher returns, mistakes, and run time errors.
  • Issue complimentary/promotional expenses in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
  • Provide training support of kiosk functions and promotions.
  • Supervise the updating of promotional reports.
  • Supervise the enrollment of new members in the Players Club and answer account questions.
  • Supervise the occasional acceptance of donations for charitable promotions.
