The Cage Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing cage operations during their assigned shift, ensuring effective hiring, training, and personnel management within the department. This role involves managing multiple transaction recordings, SAR activity, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of local jurisdiction and gaming laws, as well as internal controls and policies. The manager must demonstrate a strong understanding of all cage operations, identify and resolve variances, and ensure employee records and scheduling are maintained accurately. They are also responsible for monitoring schedules for call-outs or unexpected business demands, resolving problems and guest disputes, and promoting positive guest relations through excellent customer service. The position requires maintaining a professional demeanor, regular attendance, and adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements. The role also includes answering guest questions, utilizing sound judgment, and providing leadership by example, being hands-on when necessary. The Cage Shift Manager must be flexible in scheduling, as hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule, and perform all other duties as assigned.
