About The Position

The Cage Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Cage department, which includes the functions of the player’s club, and ensuring that the cage staff adhere to all departmental SOPs, guest service standards and compliance regulations. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, gaming and regulatory requirements including but not limited to Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
  • Proficiency in Title 31.
  • Able to use equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters and calculators.
  • Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
  • Flexible working hours and schedule.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college-level coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Cage Cashier or two (2) years supervisory experience in a cash handling guest service environment required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino’s culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Safeguarding Company assets.
  • Making recommendations to the Cage Services Management regarding potential policies and procedures to ensure that cash handling is performed within accepted standards established by management, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that all tasks are completed as required and that all items are balanced at the close of business.
  • Providing exceptional service to all external and internal Guests.
  • Responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets assigned during shift.
  • Assisting the Cashiers in the check cashing needs of the Guests.
  • Assisting the Cage Services Shift Manager in ensuring proper staffing and scheduling of Cage Team Members.
  • Ensuring that all procedures set forth by the State Compact are followed.
  • Supervising Cage Cashiers in the performance of their duties.
  • Responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets of the cage department.
  • Responsible for all day to day functions of the North Fork Mono Casino rewards program, including but not limited to enrolling guests, assisting existing members with promotions or redeeming offers and aiding in guest recovery.
  • Ensuring staff is aware of promotions and special events.
  • Effectively and accurately operating assigned equipment, including but not limited to slot accounting system, player tracking, standard computer terminal and that cage staff are properly trained in using this equipment.
  • Ensuring Guest accounts are updated accurately.
  • Issuing comps to qualified players.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
